With a UK Sim Card, you get free WiFi on the London Underground.

This is great because you won't get mobile coverage when you're in most London Tube stations.

You'll first need to register online and this requires your UK sim card to be activated so you can ONLY register once you get to the UK and you've activated your sim card.  Here's what to do:

1. Go to http://three.co.uk/my3 - and register your account - select "Register here" at the top right.

2. Enter your UK mobile number and complete the set-up process.  You'll need the 6-digit number on the reverse of your UK Sim Card (the large outer part of the sim card).

3. Once you've registered, and you're logged into your account, select "Phone & plan"

4. Then select Free WiFi on London Underground in the left-hand menu.

5. Follow the registration instructions by selecting a password you'll use to connect to WiFi when you're in a London Underground station.

6. Next time you're in a London Underground station:

  • Turn on Wi-Fi on your phone.
  • Search for Virgin Media WiFi from the available connections and connect to it.
  • On the Virgin Media page that opens in your browser, go to the Other providers dropdown and select Three.
  • Enter your Three number and the password you chose, then select Register.

You'll now be able to connect to Wi-Fi in London Underground stations. Your device will remember your details in future, so you'll automatically connect next time you're at a participating underground station.
